Today i'm going to be making peanut toffee this recipe is really simple and easy to make!
What you need:
125g (4oz) Light Brown Soft Sugar
125g (4oz) Peanut Butter
397g (The whole tin) Sweetened Condensed Milk
125g (4oz) Roasted peanuts(Monkey Nuts)
Utilities:
Measuring Scales
A Baking Tray (18cm) (7 inch)
Cupcake cases (optional)
Sugar thermometer or Confectionery thermometer
1.At first I got my baking tray and I greased it with a little bit of butter. Then I put that to the side then with my monkey nuts I took them out of the shells and then I took the skins off. If your having trouble taking off the skins then soak your peanuts in a bowl of water and then they should come off much easier.
2.After you have done that you are going to need to get a saucepan. Put the sugar, peanut butter and the condensed milk into the saucepan and mix together on a low heat until the sugar has completely dissolved.
3.Once the sugar has dissolved then start to increase the heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Sit and stir continuously but very gently to insure that your toffee does not burn, continue to boil the mixture until you put your sugar thermometer in and it says 140 degrees Celsius or 285 degrees Fahrenheit.
4.After your mixture has got that hot then you need to remove it from the heat stir in the peanuts and pour your mixture into the tin that you have prepared then leave your toffee to set for a bit. Once you think your toffee is hard enough you need to cut it into rectangles or however you would like.
5.If you would like to put your toffee into cupcake cases that would be fine I recommend that you put about 3 in one case or if you are taking them out or giving them to some one then you can put it in a box or a little pouch bag and tie it up.What I used was a pouch bag(freezer bag) and just tied it up with a little bit of ribbon and I thought that looked cute and presentable!
I hope you enjoyed making your peanut toffee! Thanks for reading my how to and my recipe.
